Jeff Burton at General Mills

A few of our visitor parking spots at the main office of General Mills were off-limits today. That’s what happens when a NASCAR team’s trailer pulls up and unloads its cool cargo.

The Wheaties No. 31 Sprint Cup Chevrolet from Richard Childress Racing was on display because its driver, Jeff Burton, paid us a visit.

Burton was in town to meet with the Wheaties team and sign a few autographs for employees.

We had a chance to ask Burton about racing for Wheaties in the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, in this video interview.

Burton is a 21-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race winner, with eight top-10 finishes in the final point standings. He’s qualified four times for the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.

General Mills has been a NASCAR sponsor for 14 years. The new program with Wheaties and Burton’s No. 31 car will continue General Mills’ primary sponsorship with Richard Childress Racing for key races. Cheerios and Hamburger Helper also will continue as NASCAR sponsors.
