Brazil is an exciting market for General Mills, and we have been seeking the right opportunity to accelerate our growth in this country.

Its Yoki and Kitano branded products hold leading market positions in several attractive and growing food categories, including snacks (popcorn and snack nuts), convenient meals (side dishes, dry soups), basic foods (grains and beans), and seasonings.
The addition of Yoki’s trusted brands will help General Mills strengthen its position with Brazil’s expanding middle class — now 200 million people strong.
Yoki is a great fit for us, and its Yoki, Kitano, Yokitos, Mais Vita, Yoklon, Tori, Chef Line and Lin Tea brands are exciting additions to the General Mills brand family.
General Mills Brazil is headquartered in São Paulo, and is anchored by two global brands: Häagen-Dazs super-premium ice cream and Nature Valley granola and snack bars. General Mills and Häagen-Dazs lead the super-premium ice cream segment in Brazil. Nature Valley launched in Brazil in 2007, and our snack bars are now distributed throughout the country.
