Häagen-Dazs Minis debut in France and Spain
There is now a delicious and guilt-free option for those who thought twice about digging into a pint of Häagen-Dazs ice cream or devouring a stick bar.
Häagen-Dazs Minis are now available in France and Spain and will be rolled out later in other countries.
The new mini stick bar is half the size of the full-size stick bar – about 35 grams instead of 70 grams.
“There is a real consumer need for the minis,” says Gäelle Cauchois, Häagen-Dazs brand manager in France.
Nielsen named the stick bars one of the top food innovations of the year in France for 2015. It’s hoped that the mini stick bars will bring even more new consumers to the super premium ice cream aisle.
The new minis are available in Salted Caramel, Vanilla Caramel Almond, and Chocolate Choc Almond flavors.
Carrefour, one of the largest hypermarket chains in the world, has named the Häagen-Dazs Minis as of its top innovations of the upcoming summer season. Carrefour has about 1,400 hypermarkets and supermarkets throughout France.
Like virtually all of our Häagen-Dazs ice cream sold worldwide (outside of the U.S. and Canada), the mini stick bars are made at our Häagen-Dazs plant in Arras, France, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
