Bring on the Bake-Off Contest!
I’m in Orlando for the 45th Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest and the energy here at the Peabody Orlando Hotel is sky high! The 100 finalists have arrived and have been debriefed on the rules – the contest is now just hours away.
It’s been a busy weekend at the Peabody as teams of people across General Mills, Pillsbury, various contest sponsors and more, spent hours putting the final touches on everything that’s needed on the contest floor.
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos!
Workers prepare the contest finalists’ stations.
A row of range clocks are synchronized on the contest floor.
Electrician Alex Arroyo checks the wiring for one of the 100 ranges being used by finalists.
Bake-Off Kitchens Staff Members Kathy Saatzer and Diane Carlson move produce to the kitchens where they will be divided for finalists’ recipes.
I’ll have a post Monday about the contest from my point-of-view. On Tuesday, I’ll have a wrap-up post with information on the winner (You can watch the winner be revealed live on “The Martha Stewart Show,” which airs 10 AM EDT/9 AM CDT on Hallmark Channel.)
