A different way to put food on tables
It’s just a small piece of land on the southern edge of our world headquarters in Golden Valley, Minn., near a busy freeway, but its impact is large.
Our “Giving Garden” was featured on KMSP-TV FOX 9 last night.
Reporter Bill Keller highlighted some of the employees who work on the garden, and the 2,000 pounds of produce they grow and give away to food shelves and emergency meal programs in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area each year.
The garden is supported by the General Mills Foundation with assistance from the Green Giant Research Center in LeSueur, Minn., and our Corporate Services department.
