Introducing a new “one stop” channel for our news

When we created “A Taste of General Mills,” our Global Communications team viewed this blog as an important new way to provide behind-the-scenes stories about the company, in a more “social” world.

More than two years and 600 stories later, we’re excited to take another step and forge new online connections.

Today, we’re introducing “Channel G” on GeneralMills.com.

Simply put, it’s a single page where we will curate real-time news and information from General Mills and our many brands across the web, around the world.

· You’ll see what we’re up to in social media – the latest tweets from our company and brand Twitter accounts, our videos on YouTube, and our photos on Instagram and Flickr.

· The latest “A Taste of General Mills” blog posts and other original content will be featured on Channel G.

· Channel G also will highlight articles and posts on the websites of news organizations, publications and blogs about our company and industry.

· And each weekday we’ll also post a recipe to tempt your taste buds, curated from BettyCrocker.com, Pillsbury.com, LiveBetterAmerica.com or Tablespoon.com, among others.

It’s all in one place, updated every day.

But personally, my favorite feature on Channel G is “Your Stories.”

We’ll post a new article every Monday about someone whose love for General Mills or one of our brands has caught our attention in social media.

But we also want you to share your story with us, in your own words. Just email us at contact.blog@genmills.com. You also can use that email address to tip us off to someone you know who has a great story involving our company and products.

By adding Channel G to our mix of communications and content platforms, it allows us to show off some of our best stuff about General Mills and our iconic and trusted brands.
