Free Pillsbury pancakes at the Minnesota State Fair
Fair food is among the tastiest you’ll ever find. That’s why you go, right?
So it makes perfect sense for Pillsbury to be out at Minnesota’s State Fair to reward attendees with pancakes, made from its new Pillsbury Pancake Batter.
They may not be served on a stick, but who can say no to free pancakes?!
The Pillsbury team will be near the “Family Fair” center (on Randall and Cosgrove) this Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to about 8 p.m. each day. They kicked off the pancake sampling at the fair last weekend.
“There is no better way to drive awareness of this new product here in Minnesota than to connect with folks at the Great Minnesota Get-Together,” says Scott Dorman, marketing manager. “It’s a fantastic way to reach a lot of people in our home state in a short time, especially in an environment where people are very open to trying new foods.”
Officials with the Minnesota State Fair told the Pillsbury Pancake Batter team to expect to hand out about 15,000 pancakes each day. They went fast last weekend, during the first round of sampling.
The samples include Original and Buttermilk pancakes (a Whole Wheat variety also is available, in stores).
Not to worry if you’re not in Minnesota.
Right now, you’ll find Pillsbury Pancake Batter sold in eight Midwest states (including Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin).
