The Cheerios New Author Contest encourages never-before-published authors to write and submit an original story for a book for children between the ages of two and eight.

The three finalists are chosen by judges looking for the appropriateness of the story for children, the emotional connection, writing quality, uniqueness and read-aloud potential.
