The influential Kantar Retail PoweRanking survey reveals how retailers and manufacturers – such as General Mills – view each other’s performance in several key areas of strategic and business fundamentals.

This year, more than 500 companies participated.

General Mills earned first place in the “Best Sales Force/Customer Teams” and “Best Supply Chain Management” categories. And, maintained its No. 3 overall ranking in the manufacturer rankings, behind Procter & Gamble and Unilever.

For our “5 questions” series, I interviewed Dave Wurm, vice president of Sales Strategies and Capabilities for General Mills. Dave explains the importance of the survey and provides some context for General Mills’ performance on the 2013 Kantar Retail PoweRankings, in this audio clip.
