Betty goes Hollywood for the holidays
Betty Crocker is getting the red carpet treatment this holiday season through its Toys for Tots Cookie Exchange, which brought the two iconic brands together in Hollywood earlier this month.
As a sponsor of the Hollywood Christmas Parade benefiting Toys for Tots, Betty was ready for her close up as she shared her holiday cookies on the red carpet and provided celebrities an opportunity to decorate their own holiday treat in the parade’s green room.
American icons such as astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and a multitude of TV stars, including Erik Estrada and young Disney Channel talent, all came out to support Toys for Tots and spread holiday cheer with thousands lining Hollywood Blvd.
This holiday season, Betty Crocker is providing free party kits to the first 1,000 who sign up online to host a cookie exchange. Betty is encouraging those who sign up to host their own cookie exchange to collect donations to benefit Toys for Tots at their events. In addition, Betty Crocker donated $50,000 to the organization.
Tune in to catch the magic when the Hollywood Christmas Parade airs on the Hallmark Channel starting Dec. 11 and syndicated nationally throughout the month.
You don’t have to be a Hollywood star to generate some extra support for the Toys for Tots cause. You can host your own cookie exchange party to collect donations to help deserving kids everywhere have a brighter holiday season.
You can also drop off toys at any local Toys for Tots location or donate directly to the organization.
Happy holidays to all – and may your season be bright and joyous. #MakeMerry!
