General Mills ranks in top 10 Best Companies for Leaders
General Mills ranks tenth in the list of 2014 Best Companies for Leaders from Chief Executive magazine.
The magazine chose organizations most invested in nurturing talent development and we’re honored to be in the top ten among public companies on this distinguished list created through a collaboration of the Chally Group Worldwide and the Human Capital Institute.
General Mills believes that leadership development pays off.
“Part of our fundamental strategy to win is to attract, retain and develop superior talent,” said Kevin Wilde, vice president, organization effectiveness and chief learning officer. “We believe leaders make the difference. People want to work for great leaders and, in turn, great leaders invest and inspire employees to fully realize their potential. Our consistent recognition as a top place for leaders is based on this belief and our ongoing commitment to leadership development.”
And why was General Mills chosen for the top 10?
“These are the companies that truly make people a priority by investing the most time and effort into talent development,” said J.P. Donlon, editor-in-chief of Chief Executive magazine. “While most companies say they value their people, these are the organizations that make it happen on a daily basis – in good times and bad.”
