Food fun with the Muppets

Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” is about to hit movie theaters and some General Mills brands are sharing in the fun.

The teams behind Betty Crocker, Yoplait Go-GURT yogurt and Cheerios worked with Disney, and some of the Muppets, to come up with some recipes and other fun content.

The “Muppets Most Wanted” movie – which opens March 21 – follows the Muppets on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations.

Our teams have been working closely with one particular Muppet known for his talent in the kitchen.

Swedish Chef has some recipes and videos with Go-GURT, including:

Fruity Go-GURT Love Parfaits

“The Chipper” Bento Box

Fruit Tapas with Fruity Go-GURT Dip

For Cheerios, Swedish Chef developed these recipes and videos:

Cheerios Crown of Fruity Jewels

Cheerios Breakfast Rounds Tea Cakes

Mini German Pancake Puffs with Cinnamon Apples

While he was in the kitchen, we were able to chat with Swedish Chef about the new Muppets movie, and one of his Go-GURT creations.

Chef, what was it like visiting far off lands as part of The Muppets’ World Tour in Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted?

Swedish Chef: Høøske føødee! De flinkers dat meeski oon dee moofee shoo, wøt de høøey!? Yøøbetcha! (Translation: Good, but I lost my luggage.)

Chef, what do you love about Go-GURT Fruity Love Parfaits?

Swedish Chef: Øødee trooskee für dee høøtsy-totsy un yum-yummee føødzy, Børk! Børk! Børk! (Translation: It’s mighty tasty! Børk! Børk! Børk!)

Through April, each package of specially marked Go-GURT features different Muppets from the movie.

Cheerios also has the Muppets on specially marked boxes, with eight collectible Muppet cut-outs (two on each box).
