A Wheaties ode to basketball

Tournaments across college basketball have the U.S. going mad for the game right now.

Hoops fans love this time of year, with a love of the game that has gone on for years.

Case in point: In 1994 when Wheaties gave a hat tip to its sports heritage with the limited release of Dunk-A-Balls – cereal puffs that looked like little basketballs.

Billed as “The breakfast of champions for kids,” Dunk-A-Balls tasted like traditional Wheaties, but in crunchy little puffs.

The back of the box even featured a cut-out activity so kids could turn their cereal bowls into basketball hoops!

So this year, as you track your bracket, remember back to a simpler time when you could eat your Wheaties … after dunking them in milk.
