The 2014 Global Responsibility Report
This is the 44th year General Mills has shared an annual responsibility report with stakeholders and the community. The company works year-round to make progress in the areas most material to our business – health, environment, sourcing, workplace and community engagement.
We’ve made strong progress in each of these areas this year, but we remain committed to doing even more.
We’ve also taken steps to improve transparency and align our report with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework – this being our third year using GRI, which is the globally recognized standard for environmental, social and governance reporting.
So, why is reporting important?
I sat down with Catherine Gunsbury, our director of Corporate Social Responsibility, to learn more about why General Mills puts so much effort behind reporting and what readers should look for in this year’s report.
Here is an audio clip of our entire conversation.
We always welcome feedback about our annual responsibility report. We look forward to hearing from you.
