Yoplait Greek 100 Strawberry preferred in taste test

Once again, consumers overwhelmingly prefer a Yoplait Greek yogurt flavor.

You may remember that back in January, nearly two out of three consumers (65 percent) told us that Yoplait Greek blueberry yogurt tastes better than the leading Chobani blueberry. (Here’s a link to that post).

Well, Yoplait Greek has done it again.

In a recent national taste test, 4 out of 5 consumers (81 percent) told us they prefer the taste of Yoplait Greek 100 Strawberry yogurt over Chobani’s Simply 100 strawberry yogurt.

The Yoplait team is sharing this news – starting today – in a new television spot, “Beach Test.”

“We’re excited by these results because consumers are confirming once again that we have great tasting products,” says Carla Vernón, marketing director for Yoplait Greek.

Since its launch in August 2012, Yoplait Greek 100 has been extremely successful. In its first full year, Yoplait Greek 100 achieved $150 million in sales, making it the most successful Yoplait product launch in the past 20 years.

All of the Yoplait Greek 100 yogurts contain 100 calories per serving and at least 10g of protein per serving. Yoplait Greek 100 is the only Greek yogurt endorsed by Weight Watchers with a PointsPlus value of 2 per serving. Yoplait Greek 100 is available in 12 delicious flavors.
