Country music in the cafeteria
If only every lunch hour at our headquarters could be like the one we had today.
Employees got on their feet in our cafeteria to see and listen to Eli Young Band, The Cadillac Three and Maddie & Tae, who were all here as part of the 2014 Outnumber Hunger campaign.
“It was so great to have these three country music artists with us to continue to talk about Outnumber Hunger and showcase their talents for General Mills employees,” says Cheryl Welch, integrated communications director. “It was fun to see our coworkers enjoying what might be the most fun lunch hour at General Mills ever – all in support of a great cause!”
Employees took advantage of the chance to be up close with the three groups by snapping photos and recording video, and singing along.

This is the third year of our Outnumber Hunger partnership with Feeding America and the artists represented by Big Machine Label Group. Together, we have helped raise awareness of the hunger issue in the U.S., and secured over 25 million meals for Feeding America’s local food banks.
Consumers can help the program by purchasing specially marked General Mills packages and entering codes from these packages at OutnumberHunger.com. Each code submitted helps Feeding America secure five meals for local food banks.*
