Swimming in the pursuit of excellence

As a teenager, Danilo Melo watched well-known Brazilian swimmer Gustavo Borges compete and was inspired to become a championship swimmer.

The problem?

He was told, by some, that he didn’t have any talent.

Rather than giving up on his dreams, he worked hard and proved them wrong – winning a number of prestigious Brazilian swimming titles.

The experience taught Danilo that nothing is impossible – a belief he carries with him today in his professional life as a plant manager of General Mills’ Nova Prata facility in Brazil.

Hear Danilo’s story in the latest MyStory.
