Sound Chex goes behind the scenes with Rixton
Snacking and music go hand-in-hand. To celebrate this pairing, Chex Mix is partnering with British band Rixton who will hit the road for their first headlining tour of the U.S., kicking off in Boston today.
The “Broken Heart Tour” is sponsored by Chex Mix who teams up with Rixton on an upcoming “Sound Chex” video series to capture some behind the scenes moments between tour stops. Chex Mix will also be stocking Rixton’s tour bus with more than 20 flavor varieties as they perform sold out shows around the country.
In March, Rixton released their debut EP Me And My Broken Heart featuring their buzzworthy single of the same title, which has more than 800,000 downloads.
The official video has racked up more than 13 million views on YouTube/VEVO. Rixton has delivered killer performances on The Voice, Ellen and The TODAY Show. They have been featured as an MTV 2014 “Artist to Watch” and “Me And My Broken Heart” was chosen as an iTunes Single of the Week.
You can check out their followup single “Wait On Me” here.
Hailing from Manchester, Rixton are:
* Jake Roche (vocals/rhythm guitar)
* Danny Wilkin (bass/keys)
* Charley Bagnall (lead guitar)
* Lewi Morgan (drums)
Jake and Danny began writing together four years ago. Three years later, they were introduced to Charley through mutual friends and a year later stumbled upon Levi in a back alley of a Manchester pub (playing pots and pans).
Rixton offers up a wealth of addictive pop/rock/R&B built on their own brand of songwriting, instrumentation and vocal harmonies.
Stay tuned for “Sound Chex” behind the scenes sneak peeks. In the meantime, let us know if you’ll be seeing Rixton on their U.S. tour!
