The “Show Us Your Superstar” winner
Totino’s BOLD just helped turn one of WWE’s biggest fans into a character worthy of being in the ring with its biggest superstars.
Mitchell LaValley, a 19-year old from of Raleigh, North Carolina, was selected as the “Show Us Your Superstar” contest winner.
His video submission – one of about 800 received in just 12 days – showcased his “Jake Tucker” persona. His character also is known as “Mama’s Boy.”
Here’s the winning video he submitted to Totino’s and WWE:
This month, LaValley traveled with his mom, Deborah, and sister, Miranda – who also are big WWE fans – to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
“My favorite part was getting to walk down to the ring with the New Age Outlaws,” LaValley says. “They really helped me own my character and really taught me some cool new things in the ring and on the mic. You know, that’s what they’re good at so learning from them was a great opportunity and I definitely enjoyed it.”
LaValley told us how he reacted when he received the call informing him he was the winner.
We also talked with his mom, Deborah, who says Totino’s made a great choice with her son, considering his longtime love for WWE.
“It’s been so surreal to go from watching WrestleMania 29 in the arena, where we were sitting way up in the sky, to right here today – surreal!”
She told us Mitchell has been a WWE fan all his life, watching the events, and even collecting numerous WWE action figures over the years.
LaValley’s journey from average fan to a ‘spotlight ready’ WWE Superstar was captured for a series of videos that will be released on WWE.com/TotinosBOLD leading up to SummerSlam, WWE’s biggest event of the summer, on August 17 in Los Angeles.
His entire experience will be revealed there, for the first time.
The training and video shoots in Orlando made for a long day – from 8 a.m. past 11 p.m. – but was something LaValley and his family, and the Totino’s team, will never forget.
“Mitch was great and we also were impressed with the energy and excitement that the WWE Coaches & Trainers (Bill DeMott, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn) at the WWE Performance Center brought with their contagious enjoyment for filming and performing,” says Marie McLean, Integrated Communications Manager for Totino’s.
Marie says the Totino’s team even got into the fun with a few WWE jumps and falls of their own, even taking jumps off of the top of the crash pit.

“I think the people are going to love my character. I think there’s a whole lotto mama’s boys and girls in this universe so I think everybody’s gonna love Jake Tucker,” says LaValley.
Totino’s BOLD is the presenting sponsor of the “Show Us Your Superstar” contest, and SummerSlam – where the brand will have samples of its two new BOLD flavors, Spicy Taco and BBQ Style Chicken.
