Yoplait focuses on fashion in New York City
Dresses made out of Yoplait cups and lids?
Makes perfect sense to Yoplait. I was fortunate to help unveil those unique dresses – and the Yoplait Signature Collection cups – at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
The Yoplait Signature Collection is a creative collaboration with designer Christopher Straub, who styled the cups of six Yoplait flavors with bold, limited-edition designs, available exclusively at U.S. Target stores through the end of February. The invitation-only event last Friday in New York targeted those who set the pace on style and those who enjoy being in-the-know on trends before the general public.
We identified Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as the perfect platform to amplify the campaign with fashion insiders, pop culture mavens and media influencers.
In New York, Straub also unveiled two custom dresses that he had painstakingly crafted out of actual Yoplait Signature Collection cups and lids. They were amazing!
The cutting-edge crowd also was pretty excited about the custom Yoplait cup designs. During the sampling inside the tents, many attendees took the time to celebrate their style by choosing Yoplait flavors that accented the fashions they were wearing. And they certainly weren’t shy about posing with their stylish snacks!
During the media reception, Straub highlighted the campaign story line, showing how his initial fashion sketches evolved into actual gowns – and how those gowns had ultimately inspired the designs appearing on the Yoplait Signature Collection cups.
