Sustainability is not just a job, it’s a lifestyle
You could say that every day is Earth Day for Stephanie Demay.
As millions of people celebrate Earth Day around the world, I thought today was a good opportunity to share the story of a General Mills colleague who not only cares deeply for environmental sustainability – but she’s also made a career of it.
Stephanie works as a Sustainability CSR Manager for General Mills’ European business and is based in France.
She was raised on a farm and learned from her parents and grandparents about the importance of respecting the environment.
“It’s a job that has to come from your heart, otherwise it doesn’t work,” she says.
In our latest MyStory, you hear from Stephanie about how she embraces sustainability at the office and at home with her family.
General Mills recently released its Global Responsibility Report.
The 2015 report outlines our company’s approach to creating economic, environmental and social value in the countries where we operate. As in years past, we continue to take steps to increase transparency regarding our progress and challenges in the areas most material to our business and our communities. General Mills marked several milestones in 2014 in its efforts to create economic, environmental and social value.
