#TBT – Spoon and Bake
In 1975, Betty Crocker introduced prepared, canned cookie dough so families could just “Spoon & Bake” right out of the cupboard – no refrigeration necessary!
This was a concept that didn’t stick around for long.
Thanks to the recent move of our General Mills Archives, we now know what Spoon & Bake dough looks (and smells) like when it’s left in the can, on the shelf for nearly 40 years!
Did you know we feature crazy interesting tidbits from General Mills’ history every day on Tumblr? Check it out!
