Fradiani, Pope, RaeLynn entertain employees

An exclusive concert today in our cafeteria featured some emerging names in music.

Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn and Nick Fradiani performed for General Mills employees. Pope and RaeLynn are up and coming country stars, from The Voice. Fradiani recently was crowned the winner of American Idol’s latest season.

The three artists performed at our headquarters as part of the 2015 Outnumber Hunger campaign. This is the fourth year General Mills has teamed up to help fight hunger in local communities across the U.S. with Big Machine Label Group and Feeding America.

A handful of lucky employees were able to meet and snap photos with the performers before the concert. And there was definitely no shortage of photos and video captured by employees in the cafeteria crowd.

Pope told us the concert for employees was “the least we can do for everything they’ve done for us and everything they’ve given to Outnumber Hunger.”

RaeLynn said she’s enjoying being a part of the campaign and raising awareness of hunger in America.

“To be one of the artists featured this time around and to be at this concert today, it’s just so cool,” RaeLynn said. “I’m excited to perform in front of the employees. Maybe we can get them out of their headspace and have a little fun!”

After a whirlwind last couple of weeks since winning season 14 of American Idol, the cafeteria concert today marked Fradiani’s first performance with fellow Big Machine artists.

“It’s a great cause and I’m happy to be able to be a part of it in a little way,” said Fradiani. “It’s very important, so it’s nice to do a little something to add to it.”

Specially marked packages of General Mills products feature an Outnumber Hunger code to give you the opportunity to help Feeding America secure five meals for your local food bank.
