Flying Delta? Look for Ken

One of the busiest months of the year to fly is underway, giving passengers on Delta’s many flights around the world a chance to learn more about General Mills.

The December issue of Delta’s Sky magazine, tucked into seat backs, features an interview with Ken Powell, our chairman and CEO.

In an article titled “Food for Thought,” Ken offers his perspective on food innovation, our growth in natural and organic brands, our international brands, changing consumer preferences and more.

“Consumers are changing pretty fast – faster than I’ve seen before – and values are changing, particularly among millennial consumers, like my kids,” Ken told Sky. “They have different expectations and we have to make sure we’re listening really carefully. That’s led to restating our brand strategy on something that we call “consumer first,” which has been important inside the organization – saying, ‘Look, we have one boss, one north star.'”
