Pillsbury Stuffed Waffles debut across the U.S.
Those looking for a quick on-the-go breakfast or snack from Pillsbury now have one more delicious option to choose from.
The Pillsbury Stuffed Waffle – which features a sausage patty, egg omelet and cheddar cheese wrapped in a maple-flavored Belgian-style waffle – has debuted exclusively in 7-Eleven stores across the U.S.The new waffle can be found in most 7-Eleven stores (more than 7,000), which have a hot food program.
The Pillsbury Stuffed Waffle has been in development for about 18 months and has been embraced in taste tests.
A key benefit of the Stuffed Waffles is the link to the Pillsbury brand, which communicates great quality and taste.
The Pillsbury Stuffed Waffle roll-out marks the third Pillsbury food item at 7-Eleven. In February 2015, we launched Pillsbury Minis. And in October of 2013, we rolled out Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls in 7-Elevens nationwide.
“7-Eleven has been a very strong partner of ours for several years but especially through the development, testing and launch of Stuffed Waffle,” says Hyun Mee Graves, the platform marketing and innovation director for General Mills Convenience & Foodservice. “We believe the test market was a strong indication of the success that will come from this national launch.”
