Tailgate Nation celebrates football food
When you think football, you think tailgating. And food is at the center of it.
No matter what’s being served in the parking lots outside the stadium, fans of college football in the U.S. take their tailgating (and “homegating” for that matter) seriously.
So this season, through “Tailgate Nation,” General Mills is right in the middle of the action at stadiums, homes and in stores with a partnership with ESPN College Football.
The program officially kicked off on September 7, at the University of Texas.
Adam Richman, of Travel Channel’s “Man vs Food” and author of “Straight Up Tasty,” was on hand to showcase the Tailgate Nation setup and to talk with passionate Longhorn fans about their tailgate recipes and traditions.
The Tailgate Nation “tiny house” and tailgate party is the centerpiece of the program. It will be at six more games, through December.
Tailgate Nation also shows up big in stores across the U.S., with several General Mills brands and products featured at your favorite stores throughout the college football season.
And, it offers a sweepstakes, with a $10,000 grand prize to win the “Ultimate Tailgate “and numerous instant win tailgate prizes, like grills, coolers, games and gift cards.
You also may have seen Tailgate Nation promoted on ESPN, our partner in the program.
